Queen's University

Queen’s University, together with the School of English, welcomes international students from more than 120 countries and all across Canada. At Queen’s, we believe in balancing work and play, study time and extracurricular activities. While a lot of our students choose to study English at Queen’s School of English (QSoE) for university preparation purposes, many students also choose QSoE for its rich socio-cultural program, which allows students to learn English through weekly activities and weekend trips. Queen’s undergraduate students lead exciting weekly activities on campus (coffee talks, sport games, movie nights, and more). Cultural weekend trips are also available to places like Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto/Niagara Falls, and even Quebec City. Through participating in our socio-cultural program, international students experience Canadian culture and make lifetime friendships.

While studying at QSoE, students get the true Queen’s experience. Students attending our ESL programs or Business Internship program receive a Queen’s student card, which grants them access to all the University facilities, including the Athletics and Recreation Centre, libraries, and over 400 student clubs on campus. Queen’s student activities enrich what students learn in the classroom, while allowing them to continue to practice their passion in English language. By joining the University student clubs, activities and sports, QSoE students have an excellent opportunity to integrate with Canadian students and to experience university student life.

At QSoE, our highly qualified instructors provide international students with intensive English language courses, while our energetic Student Life members, including Queen’s undergraduate students, create a welcoming and fun experience.
